Description: Shea Butter (Karite Butter) is a naturally nutritive product, and is usedfor the treatment of burns, skin patches, eczema, wrinkles, stretch marks and other minor skin conditions for centuries. It is rich in vitamin A and E and soft enough to hydrate the full body for babies and those with sensitive skin. It is a very moisturizing and protecting butter with mild antibacterial and anti-inflammatory characteristics.
NOTE: "real" Unrefined Shea Butter (raw Shea Butter) has a very strong fragrance. The strength of the fragrance can vary per production and has no influence on the quality. For butter with a less unpleasant fragrance one can order the refined variant - OBW018 or OBW049.
How is it possible that some providers can sell odorless unrefined Shea Butter? Unrefined odorless Shea Butter is not refined but deodorized. Deodorizing is another process than refining. Despite that these types of butters are processed it can still be sold as unrefined. One cannot speak of real “raw Shea Butter” because the product was subjected to certain additions with additive substances.
The structure of this re-melted Shea Butter can feel slightly grainier than when cut off from the bar.
