Description: Castile soap originally comes from Castile, a kingdom in Spain. Many soap makers will say that this soap must consist of 100% olive oil, but in fact you can call it Castile soap if it contains 50% olive oil. Historically, Castile soap has been used for its softness and positive effects on the skin. Its good properties were also quickly seen as valuable in the medical world and it was known to pharmacists as ‘Sepo Hispanienis’ or ‘Sapon Castilienis’. It was also used by many royal families in Europe.
We believe that a soap made from 100% olive oil does not foam much and has a slimy structure. That is why we add some coconut oil for the foam and a very small amount of sunflower oil (to increase the linoleic acid value, which gives it a caring character) and also castor oil, which ensures that the soap becomes moisturizing. This unscented soap contains more than 80% extra virgin olive oil and is therefore the mildest soap suitable for all skin types, especially for children and people with sensitive or fragile skin. The soap is perfect as a facial cleanser and as a shampoo.
